Biloxi , Mississippi: July 2006
During one of the hottest weeks of the summer, our team traveled to
Biloxi, MS , for an unforgettable trip in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Joining up with the Salvation Army, we slept and ate under
the stands in the converted locker room area of an unused football stadium. We spent our days doing all aspects of rebuilding the homes in that area and getting to know some of the local families who had returned to live in F.E.M.A. trailers while trying to put their lives
back together.
In the evening, we came together for praise and worship, music, rest,
and just getting to know each other better. This trip really made
us feel thankful for all we take for granted.
